What jobs can a mobile mechanic do?
Most servicing and repair jobs that don't require a full workshop lift. That includes brakes, batteries, clutches, alternators, starter motors, diagnostics, aircon regas and more.
How much do mobile mechanics charge?
Our callout starts at £49.99 and includes diagnostics. Brake pads and discs start from £149 and a clutch from £349. For comparison, Checkatrade's 2026 figures put the typical mobile mechanic job in the West Midlands at £124 to £253 plus parts. You get a fixed quote on the phone before anyone is dispatched.
Is a mobile mechanic cheaper than a garage?
Usually, for the jobs we take on. There is no workshop overhead, no recovery fee and no courtesy car to pay for, so labour is typically lower and parts cost the same. Where a job needs a lift or specialist equipment we say so and point you to a garage.
What are the drawbacks of using a mobile mechanic?
Some jobs cannot be done safely without a workshop lift, such as gearbox removal, major welding or anything that needs a wheel-alignment rig. Bad weather can delay outdoor work. We tell you on the phone if your job is one we would rather not do on the drive.
Do you offer 24-hour or emergency callouts?
We answer calls 7am to 9pm, seven days a week including bank holidays, and prioritise breakdowns and cars that will not start. We do not run an overnight service.
Do I need to be there while the work is done?
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the vehicle and keys, you can carry on with your day. We'll call when the job is finished.
Will I get a quote before any work starts?
Yes. We give you a fixed quote on the phone before we come out, and confirm it on arrival before starting any work.
